Medical Dermatology

At O’Reilly Dermatology we provide a complete range of medical dermatologic care. We take care of skin problems affecting the entire family—men, women and children.

We diagnose and treat a wide range of skin conditions from facial skin problems such as Acne, irregular pigmentation and Rosacea to skin concerns on the body including skin cancer mole checks, Psoriasis and Eczema.

Sun Damage and Skin Cancer

Exposure to sun produces many problems. A very common form of sun damage, known as Actinic Keratoses (AKs) often occurs on the face, scalp, hands and forearms. These are pre-cancerous lesions and are especially common in fair skin, and those who have had quite a lot of sun exposure over their lifetime. Actinic keratoses look red, feel slightly rough to touch and never heal.

Because these lesions are pre-cancerous, it is important to treat them promptly, by cryotherapy which can be done at our office or by the application of prescription creams.

At O’Reilly Dermatology, we educate our patients regarding self examination of their moles and what changes to look out for, that would require examination by a dermatologist.

We advise our patients, if they notice any changes in a mole (e.g. it becomes larger, changes shape or color, bleeds or itches) or a new pigmented lesion develops on their body, to please call us and we will offer concerned patients, if not same day appointment with Dr O'Reilly Zwald, then an appointment with her the following day.
